Fiber optic distribution boxes are robust enclosures that designed for facilitating optical cable connections and distribution in FTTB and FTTH applications, often integrate a typical splitter to divide the optical signal to multiple users. These boxes are categorized into two types: outdoor fiber distribution boxes and indoor wall-mount distribution enclosures, The former enables connection between riser cable and distribution cable under weatherproof environment, the latter is generally installed in the high-rise building or MDU to enable the feeder cable’s connection and a bow-type drop cable.They are suitable for both indoor or outdoor environments, with options for wall mounting or pole mounting.

Fiber termination box is used for fiber-to-optical-device connections via patch cable. It features a compact design and is great to terminate, splice, protect and manage optical fibers. These fiber enclosures are suitable for end termination of villas, residential and business buildings . In some case, some of the fiber terminal boxes intergrate mini PLC splitter,  which also serve as small fiber distribution point to realize fiber connection and optical signal splitting. The traditional 1-4 port fiber termination boxes are also called fiber wall outlets that comes with SC or LC ports, designed for connecting home cables to user’s terminal equipment(like ONU) through fiber patch cords in fiber internet deployment. They are compact and small-scale enclosures that typically are mounted on wall or desptop.
