What Is A Fiber Patch Panel?

The fiber patch panel is also called fiber optic distribution panel, it is a piece of hardware to terminate fiber optic cable or store surplus cable which can make fiber connections orderly. Its function is to complete the fiber optic cable and supply access to individual fibers of the cable for cross-connection, and It is usually installed in a cabinet or wall.

Fiber patch bay usually composes of some compartment, such as the adapter panel, steel body, splice trays, and other accessories.
